‘Undergrad’, is a 4 year program, after 12th Grad, where students can study a wide range of subjects to begin with. Once they have met the core curriculum requirements, students at most institutions are asked to choose a specific field of study, also known as the major. The final two years are spent taking more courses that are more directly related to your major.

Masters of Science (popularly known as MS) is the choice of maximum applicants across the country. Others graduate programs are MBA, MPH, etc. These are 2 years full time programs which combine first-class teaching and practical industry exposure to prepare graduates for professional work.

PhD Program
PhD Program

The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is the highest academic degree graduate students can earn in most fields of study. These students often go on to teach at the college level or pursue research positions. The doctorate degree normally takes 4 to 6 years in the USA and 3 to 5 years in Europe.

Application Process

Universities in UK generally look for a balanced profile of a candidate. Various factors which play important role to make you a suitable fit are as follows.

  • These are general aptitude tests which serve as a base for judging students’ basic Math and Verbal skills.
  • Mostly time bound they will test your time management skills.
  • Sectional adaptability is one more defying factor for the GRE exam while question adaptability is the defying factor for the GMAT exam.
  • Depending on the course you are enrolling for, there can be various such types of tests.
  • Graduate Applicants : GRE, GMAT
  • Undergraduate Applicants : SAT, ACT
  • All International students from countries where English is not native languages are supposed to appear for these tests.
  • These tests evaluate you on your Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing skills.
  • Such tests assure that there is no communication gap for any international student while he/she is studying in the USA.
  • Minimum cutoffs as per university standards are supposed to be achieved.
  • There are various such language assessment tests; naming few would be:
    TOEFL,   IELTS,   PTE
  • Universities in USA look for a strong academic record at undergraduate or school level.
  • They require your Mark sheets and Transcripts for the same.
  • One should be at least in the 12th grade to pursue undergraduate studies and in the 7th semester at least to pursue graduate studies.
  • Any extra activities related to study like Paper publications, Research Paper etc. are also looked for by universities.
  • All academic mark sheets, transcripts, consolidated mark sheet, provisional & Degree certificates.
  • English proficiency test score card.
  • Statement of purpose
  • Letter of recommendations(should be in sealed and attested cover)
  • Updated resume
  • GMAT & GRE Score cards (if required)
  • Extra-curricular certificates & language certification( German, French etc..)
  • Valid Passport copy
