Pre-Departure Orientation for Students going to the US in FALL-2018

Renaissance Overseas Education conducted an informative Pre-departure orientation (PDO) session for all the students, who would be moving to the USA for Master’s degree program starting in FALL Intake (September 2018). Nearly 140 students, along with their parents, attended this event, which was conducted at AMA on 21st July.

The objective of this session was not only to felicitate a smooth transition and hassle-free settlement of these students moving to a different continent but also to allay the apprehensions of the students and their parents alike.

Renaissance Experts elaborately guided them on varied issues pertaining to cultural differences, medical help, accommodation, emergency services, FOREX and work culture. The aspirants – mostly engineers – had their queries solved in a very interactive session, presided by Renaissance students currently studying in different universities the US.

The salient features of this event was expert talk by Mr. Rajesh Jha, Director, Renaissance consultancy on cultural adaptability, money transaction, US laws, universities rules and a lot of other must-know points.

“These budding engineers are going to the US not only as knowledge seekers but also as ambassadors of Indian culture and ethos. It is my moral duty not only to guide them about universities but also enlighten them about the responsibilities when they land in the US “, said Mr. Jha at the end of this enriching session.
